I'm from the USA but I've always wanted to study at a university outside of the states. I was wondering does your school give scholarships to football players, or would I be eligible to apply for a scholarship? I've played football all my life, but I passed up an opportunity to play football in college in the states and joined the NAVY to help support my family.Currently I am trying to get out of the NAVY as early as next year and I am looking for potential schools, mainly in Europe. If any coaches or players could give me any information I would greatly appreciate it. I can be reached by email at lukedamc@yahoo.com or steven.g.lucas@navy.mil.

Thanks,
Steve

Not to put us down mate, but I don't think we're what you're looking for. Outside the states footballs a fringe sport, so there's no money for scholarships. Also I'm not sure if its the case for the rest of Europe, but in the UK as we don't use our universities as feeder programmes for professional sports, theres hardly any money even if you play a mainstream sport such as soccer at a high level.

That being said Warwick is a great place to study and if you came you'd be a welcome addition to the team.

Good luck in your search mate.

There are foreign student scholarships.
http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/inte ... rships/ug/

And there are talented athlete scholarships which Warwick supports:

http://warwicksport.warwick.ac.uk/sport ... ries/tass/

and http://warwicksport.warwick.ac.uk/sport ... sbursaries

varrying in amount from £300 to £3000

Don't know how relavent they are but would be worth looking up.
